Radiohead, The Verve, Other Bands Seek Piece of Ticket Scalpers’ Action

With CD sales tanking, bands and their managers are looking to squeeze extra cash out of the live-music revenue stream by getting a piece of online ticket scalpers’ profits.

    This is certainly an interesting development. They are going to pressure online services first to try and get a portion of their fees. The bands have an interesting argument, although as live ticket prices rise it is difficult to feel sorry for them if they don’t get a cut of secondary ticket sales too.
