MySpace strikes new chord in digital music

iTunes could have a real competitor (finally).

MySpace will “give its roughly 120 million users free access to hundreds of thousands of songs from the world’s largest recording labels. the music can be played only on” internet connected computers and will have ads. You’ll also be able to purchase it from Amazon.com, which sells songs for as little as 79 cents apiece.
