Pandora has technology that analyzes aspects of a user’s favorite song to
search for similar song types in their database. All music must be pre-approved to be added to their database.

  One thing that I would love to see would be a way for music fans to select the percentage of new/indie music they want to hear from this platform. So, for example, if you want to hear bands like My Morning Jacket, you could say you want 50% of what you listen to to be unsigned bands, or 10% or 100% and then you would get those bands mixed in with the signed bands based on your preferred ratio.

  This could be a fun function and a good way for Pandora to help people who want to to become exposed to new music.
